We are seeking a trainee support administrator to join a busy friendly financial planning team in a well-known financial planning firm based in the heart of Knowle, Solihull.

The ideal candidate will be conscientious and have the confidence to deal directly with clients and providers and will play a crucial role by managing and administering various aspects of client portfolios and plans, delivering exceptional customer service and client care.

Working within a small team, your flexibility to the demands of the role, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively, will allow the financial advisers to create key plans for their clients’ investment and retirement goals as well as effective family protection solutions.


Summary of Responsibilities


Full training and development towards varied administration support to the financial advisers, along with regular updates on the progression of cases.

Be involved in the processing of client pension, investment and protection applications, and any product servicing related transactions, interacting with the various pension and investment product providers to obtain the required information and documentation.

Promptly and professionally communicate with clients and providers on queries when required via letter, telephone, e-mail, and where necessary, virtually.

Prepare valuation reports for regular adviser client review meetings.

Prepare and produce client suitability reports for less complex cases and to confirm continued suitability for clients engaged on an ongoing service level.

Diary and email management.

Ensure client records, back-office systems and shared folders are maintained and up to date.

Maintain a good understanding of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Share any ideas to create further efficiencies within the business.

Requirements for the Role

Some previous industry administration experience is desirable.

Conscientious and flexible.

Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and desire to check accuracy of work.

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Use initiative and be a good problem solver with the ability to generate practical solutions.

Be computer literate with the ability to use all standard Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook to a good standard.

Package Details

Hours: Full-time or part-time up to 35 hours per week

Work Location: Hybrid

Salary: Dependant on experience
